All partner activities are open to any partner accompanying a registered delegate to the convention. In addition to the Views From Above Tour, detailed below, there are plenty of exciting things for partners to do in greater Palm Springs, such as take advantage of the amenities at our host hotel, explore attractions around greater Palm Springs and attend our planned evening events. Advance registration is required for all convention partner activities; contact Crystal Klippenstein if you’ve already registered and want to add partner activities.
Views From Above Tour
Wednesday, March 7, 8:45 am – 3:15 pm
The journey starts with an awe inspiring ride up Mt. San Jacinto aboard the famous Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. The tram cars slowly rotate as guests go up, allowing spectacular scenic views during the 10 minute, 2.5 mile tram ride through 5 eco-systems. Once atop the peak, guests will find themselves at an 8,516 ft. elevation and in a 13,000 acre Wilderness State Park forest surrounded by a magnificent pine forest and views stretching miles to the Salton Sea.
From there, they’ll head down to the historic Las Palmas neighbourhood with a tour guide for a driving tour past the current and former homes of celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, and Leonardo DiCaprio, to name a few.
Lunch will be at LuLu California Bistro, the centrepiece to downtown Palm Springs with great food and a hip atmosphere. After that, there will be time to shop along Palm Canyon Drive before returning to the hotel.
Cost: CDN $175 – includes conference breakfast at the hotel.
Advance registration required. If minimum attendance numbers aren’t met, activity details may change or the tour may be cancelled with full refund to registrants. Tour not recommended for guests with fear of heights or enclosed spaces.
