GOING FOR GOLD: LESSONS IN GREATNESS FROM THE OLYMPIC GAMES
With more than 25 years of broadcast experience, Brian Williams is considered the “dean of Canadian sports commentators.” He has covered virtually every national and international professional-sports event, as well as major amateur tournaments. Along the way, he has won numerous awards, including being named to the Order of Canada, and earned endless praise.
Williams reported on his first Olympic Games at the 1976 Summer Games from Montreal and has covered a total of 14 Olympic Games, as well as every high-profile sporting event around the globe. At Good as Gold, Williams will share stories of struggle and success from the world’s greatest athletes and provide insight into the qualities he’s witnessed that account for success. Whatever it is you do there is a “gold” you can strive for and Williams will inspire you to do so.
Born in Winnipeg, Williams began calling university basketball play-by-play in 1967, making 2017 his 50th year in sports.
